Sam and Cordel – Cozy Cabin Engagement Session
Before we dive into all the goodness that is this session…I wanted to share a little back story of how I met Sam and Cordel because it is my absolute favorite.
Three years ago the cutest couple hopped in front of my lens at the University of Minnesota Medical School prom. I was shooting the photo booth which is different than any style of photography I usually do, as it’s a one or two clicks and onto the next group. BUT with these two I suddenly found myself doing a little mini couples shoot because well, look at them!! The second they walked away I thought. “WOW I would die to shoot their wedding some day they seem so fun and in love!!” Not thinking more of it after that night I saw them the next year and remembered them instantly! Still the happiest and sweetest ever together.
Now HERE WE ARE year three I am shooting their wedding and I couldn’t be more excited. Here’s photos of them 2017, 2018 and this year 😉
This brings us to all the snuggles and fun we had up north 🙂
FUN FACT:I’ll never turn down a chance to take my job up north. I don’t know what it is but driving through the pines and heading to remote place is just so peaceful and fun for me!
So last Tuesday I took a beautiful afternoon drive up north to Nisswa, MN. Sam & Cordel were waiting for me with a big happy welcome before their engagement shoot in the cutest lil cabin ever! Sam’s Grandma’s cabin overlooks Gull Lake and it had such a comforting charm, warm cozy feel and the COOLEST style. Nothing is more fun for me than capturing two happy lovers, especially in such a special place. These two head off to Arizona soon to start their journey as Doctors! So I was glad to give them some fun memories here as it may be a while before they are back. We had such a fun afternoon and I can’t wait for their wedding day in just over ONE WEEK! Without further ado…Sam, Cordel and their fur baby Bowie 🙂
