Taylor and Chad are two of the most genuine people I’ve had the chance to meet! To start it off, they traveled from North Dakota all the way to Minneapolis to hang out with me and take their engagement photos! How cool is that. They were so kind, down to earth and just excited to have a good time. I learned that a couple of their favorite things to do together are binge watch Netflix (my kinda people) and go on Ski trips together in Colorado! They just love living life to the fullest and taking on fun adventures together. Needless to say.. after meeting them and ending our session I was so pumped for their Duluth winter wedding day on Jan 12th 2019!

Well friends, that day came and man did it ever exceed my expectations!

I arrived to Pier B Resort to find the girls getting all done up in the cutest little room with concrete walls and stunning hanging light fixtures. The photographer in me was drawn to all the pretty little details just in awe, then I took a peek in the corner and saw Taylor..looking SO RADIANT!!! and honestly so cozy I was jealous of all the girls little jammy sets. But oh my gosh was I excited to start this day off!

From getting ready jitters, to putting on her stunning custom made dress, to Chad seeing Taylor for the first time overlooking Lake Superior, to the UND / UMD fun rivalry reception atmosphere at Clyde (Taylor a UND alum and Chad UMD) the entire day was so happy and fun! Even trekking in the cold temps and wind Duluth brought us..no one made any complaints. Except the videographers and I standing over here like “we can’t feel our hands!” haha no fingers were harmed…and we capture the most amazing moments for them!

One of my favorite moments was taking a drive after their ceremony to Beacon Sports Bar and Grill in Hermantown. At first I wondered the reason behind taking a 20 min drive away from all the bars near the lift bridge / downtown area we took some fun bridal party photos. So I asked Taylor when we got there if Beacon was special to them. THEN I MELTED. It is where they first met! We even snapped a photo in the exact spot they were introduced by their friend & cousin during Summerfest a few years ago. They couldn’t have looked any happier together!!!

We ended this perfect day running through a sparkly dance party with all their best gals and guys cheering them on. AMAZING amazing celebration of the new Mr. and Mrs. Bannor!
